The 34th Annual Danbury Amateur will be held on Saturday and Sunday July 20th and 21st. 

Cost will be $250 which includes a registration gift, Green Fees, Driving Range and a lunch voucher. 

**PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION CAREFULLY AS RULES AND PARAMETERS OF PLAY HAVE CHANGED**

FLIGHTS

 The Overall Winner will come from the
Championship flight

 Day One (Saturday, July 20th):

The low 48 (or amount set by the Committee) indexes, excluding Senior Men’s Flight Participants.

  • Competitors will participate in a Championship Flight Qualifier and play from the blue tees.
  • After round one, the low 24 and ties (and/or within 10 shots of the lead) will be placed in the Men’s Championship Flight on Day Two
  • The competitors that do not qualify will be placed in the Men’s First Flight.

All other competitors:

  • Will be placed in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and Senior Flights which will be determined by the players’ indexes, with a maximum of 30 players in each flight
  • All 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and Senior Men’s Flights will play from the White Tees.

Day Two (Sunday, July 21st):

  • The Men’s Championship Flight will play from the Black tees
  • The Men’s First Flight will play from the Blue Tees
  • All remaining Men’s Flights will play from the White Tees

LADIES FLIGHTS

  • The Ladies’ Championship Flight will play from the Gold Tees
  • All other Ladies’ Flights will play from the Red Tees.
  • The number of players in each of the Ladies’ Flights will be determined by the number of female registrants.

The Overall Winner will come from the
Championship flight

Rules:

  • GPS and Artificial Measuring Devices are allowed and must be approved by the Head Professional prior to play. Devices which calculate slope are not permitted.
  • All flights including the Ladies flights aside from the Men’s Championship Flight, and Flight 1 are eligible to use the associated drop areas on Hole #3 and #5 by the green, if they choose to do so. The Men’s Championship Flight and Flight 1 must either re-tee or drop at the front of the tee box in their specified drop zone.
  • All flights including the Ladies flights are eligible to exercise the Out of Bounds rule of taking a 2-stroke penalty and dropping the ball at the edge of the fairway within 2 club lengths where the ball crossed no closer to the hole.
  • ALL Players may Mark, Lift, Clean & Place in your own fairway within 1 Club-length no closer to the hole.

Cart/Caddies/Clubs:

  • Golf Carts will be provided for all players but are not required. Maximum of two carts per group.
  • Players may walk and may choose to carry their own clubs.
  • Caddies do not have to carry the competitors’ clubs and will be permitted to ride in the golf cart. Caddies are required to wear provided caddy bibs.
  • Only two people are allowed in the golf cart at one time and no spectators are permitted to ride in the golf carts at any time.
